Plan the light positions before ceiling work
Mark the areas to be illuminated and note the ceiling layout, joists, access points and any existing fittings. The right number and location depend on room use and project design; this page does not prescribe spacing or claim a particular beam angle for OVR products. Ask a lighting professional if the layout needs a measured plan.
Select the product family and exact code before an opening is cut. The OVR catalog lists models with different wattages and dimensions. A family image may be shared across several wattage variants, so read the code, not only the appearance of the photo. Keep a record of the chosen model and colour-temperature option.
Check the product’s catalog cutout
For a recessed spotlight, compare the ceiling opening with the cutout recorded for the precise code. Spot Curve 7W lists a 65x65 cutout, 12W lists 80x80 and 18W lists 90x90. Premium Cob and Tilted rows have their own cutouts, which are printed in their catalog entries. These figures are not interchangeable across families.
Also review the outer dimensions and available depth. Cutout and outer diameter answer different questions. Inspect the space above the false ceiling for framing, wiring, insulation or other obstructions. A qualified installer should confirm that the ceiling material and opening can accept the selected fitting before making changes.
Keep electrical work with a qualified person
Do not handle mains wiring while power is connected. Isolate the circuit at the appropriate breaker and have a qualified electrician verify it before removing or connecting a light. If you are not trained to work on electrical installations, do not attempt wiring or repairs yourself. This guide does not replace local electrical codes or professional instruction.
OVR lights are supplied with an OVR-branded isolated LED driver. An isolated driver separates mains input from the LED output side. The labels show input AC 220–240V 50Hz and output ranges for the labelled driver models. The label examples are not a compatibility map for every spotlight; check the required output for the exact light before use.
Fit and inspect the fixture
Once an electrician has confirmed the circuit and opening, follow the exact product instructions supplied with the fitting. Do not force a fixture into a smaller opening or leave a larger hole uncovered. Keep the wiring, connector and driver arranged as directed by the qualified installer, with no strain on the cable or connection.
After installation, ask the electrician to check that the fitting sits securely, is aligned as planned and operates as expected. If it does not illuminate or behaves unexpectedly, switch off the circuit and get qualified help rather than repeatedly handling live wiring. Keep packaging and the product code for future reference.
Plan colour and output with the room
The catalog lists wattage, lumen entries and colour-temperature options for selected spotlight models. These values describe different properties. Use the exact product row to plan the chosen model and colour option; do not infer brightness or coverage solely from wattage. Check how the selected colour appears beside other fixtures in the room.
If dimming, a control, driver compatibility or another electrical feature is important, ask the supplier about the exact code before installation. Not every compatibility detail is included in the catalog. Discuss special requirements with the electrician and OVR Electric so the choice is confirmed before ceiling work begins.
Order the right code and keep the paperwork
For a quote, provide the model code, wattage, colour option, quantity and site city. Product cards show official catalog MRP in INR, not a wholesale price. Ask for a written bulk quote and check it against the installation plan. OVR Electric offers GST invoicing and states a two-year warranty on LED products; ask for the applicable written terms.
OVR Electric is based in Indore and serves Madhya Pradesh. Confirm delivery timing and order details for your destination. Keep the quote, invoice, selected code and installation notes together. A clear record helps a future replacement request identify the exact product rather than relying on an uncertain family name.

QUESTIONS / ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions
Can I install an LED spotlight in a false ceiling myself?
Mains wiring should be handled by a qualified electrician. Use this page as a planning checklist, not as instructions for live electrical work.
Which cutout should I make for an OVR spotlight?
Use the cutout for the exact catalog code and have the installer verify the opening before cutting. The dimensions vary by model.
Can I choose the cutout from wattage alone?
No. Compare the exact product code, cutout and outer dimensions; wattage does not specify the ceiling opening.
Need help with your product list?
Share the catalog model codes, quantities and delivery location. OVR Electric can respond to your specific request; confirm price, warranty and delivery details before ordering.
